Through these curated cultural experiences, you will discover a culture that believes that peace and harmony are essential elements for relationships to living creatures and all of creation. A culture with a long history of relationship building with other indigenous nations and with European newcomers.

Stargazing

As night falls, we will take you through a guided stargazing tour that includes Dakota interpretation. We offer our participants the opportunity to use stellarium software, a high-quality telescope, and other stargazing tools for stargazing. Warm up your evening with a traditional bannock, tea and jam.

Make Bannock on a Stick

April 12, 2024: Fire ban in effect. During the fire ban, we will not be able to offer this experience.

Warm up your evening with a traditional bannock and tea around the outdoor bonfire. As night falls, one of our staff will take you through the riveting history of the Dakota people.

Pow Wow Dance Presentation

Experience and learn about the deep meanings behind various social dances from this region. And maybe learn a step or two.

4 Seasons of Reconciliation

We invite you to experience a workshop like no other. These workshops were created to assist workplace and education organizations in providing diversity and inclusion awareness through various tools such as videos, slideshows, quizzes, etc. Their purpose is to build a renewed relationship between Indigenous People and Canadians through transformative and engaging content.

Our onsite workshop is a “bite-sized” version of the more comprehensive courses, which are available through Reconciliation Education. Those who complete all the necessary modules receive a certificate from First Nations University of Canada.

You can take as much time as you need to finish it. You can finish a module and come back to it. You will be able to start where you left off. Register online today!
